One of the striking things was talking with the media spokesperson for the Nebraska containment hospital where she declared one of the reasons FOR taking in the African ebola doctors was to learn and prepare for more patients. It’s a scary thought that so much of this is a chess game with the government hoping for infection to move to our shores. Through inaction they play their hand, and all they have to do is sit back and wait. I think I’ll think twice about going to Dallas now.
The infected patient flew from Liberia through Brussels and Virginia before reaching Dallas. And it was eight days out in the open in Dallas before they were finally quarantined. After he went into the hospital he was given antibiotics and released, where he wandered through Dallas for another four days. The odds of many in Dallas now being infected is high but we won’t know for another month. Enter Dallas at your own risk.
the head of the CDC, Tom Friedman, claimed “I have no doubt that we will control this case of Ebola so that it does not spread” – today the CDC announces they are evaluating patient number two.
Zacariah Thompson recently announced that the infected patient had a “associate” who was also sick who is still at large spreading the disease throughout Dallas. If you are in a major Texas city, the time to leave may be at hand. 5 students were possibly exposed to the ebola patient identified as Thomas Eric Duncan. They attended Tasby Middle School, Hotchkiss Elementary, Dan D. Rogers Elementary, and Conrad High School. Schools will continue to be in session. Additional health officials and custodial staff will be on hand at those schools.
