Eric Drouet, a truck driver from the suburbs of Paris, was arrested in Paris on Wednesday evening near the iconic Champs-Élysées avenue – a prime location for the yellow vests to gather. Drouet was detained while leading a commemoration of yellow vests who have died since the movement’s inception, most of whom were hit by cars during protests at roundabouts throughout the country, according to the Wall Street Journal.

There are enough yellow jackets to storm the prison that holds him. Can there be a bastille day part 2? Unfortunately no. Because now governments and prison guards have machine guns. And with these machine guns even if ten thousand storm the government they have bullets for all of them.

But maybe it’s time for another medieval tactic. Starve them out. They have the numbers to surround the prison, close the roads and simply let no food go in. Find the water supply line shutoff and turn off the water. Find the electricity lines and turn off the power. If they really are serious, then they can siege. Direct assaults never worked on fortified castles either.  But surround them and stop everything going in and out. One wonders, would Macron call in the army against them?

And that is precisely the problem. The French people have been disarmed and until they re-arm tyranny will rule.
