Ahh Bacon. Gods gift to humans.

Actually it was the THROWN away part of the hog, until someone thought to slice thin, cure, and fry crispy. Most of America’s bacon isn’t even cured, resulting in watery ick. Curing takes a month. The best substitute by the way, for uncured, is to buy some double smoked, which does a similar thing – remove water.

But soon this heavenly gift will be gone. Why? Like toilet paper the shelves will be bare. And it’s because of the Virus. No dummies, not the corona-chan, SWINE FLU. China has lost nearly ALL of its Pork production. A nation that does not respect its environment NOR it’s animals, producing porks in conditions even more horrid than the USA, they set up environments for outbreaks.

But the Chinese are also conniving. So they bought up America’s LARGEST pork producer – Smithfield. For a reported 4.7 Billion. and no one said anything. This buying out another nations food supply SHOULD be completely illegal, but not one congressman or senator said shit. So we lost all of our pork.

 Smithfield, owned by Chinese conglomerate WH Group (0288.HK)  is the world’s largest pork processor and hog producer with $15 billion in sales. Smithfield Foods was the top shipper this summer, sending at least 17.6 million kilograms of pork to China between June and September, according to Panjiva, a division of S&P Global Market.

Recently the FDA pulled farm subsidies away from Smithfield, further reducing their pork production. “chinese pay more, we can’t make a profit on American sales anymore without our subsidies” said a Smithfield insider.

For the short term, there’s still pork on the shelves. But as the corona shuts down more and more American pig processing plants, when push comes to TUG, where do you think the pork will go? America or China? You can bet your slanty ass it will go to China.

It is one more time that ultimate greed by Americans puts a few billion into the hands of the rich at the suffering of the masses. And they DON’T CARE. They got theirs. They are probably sick of pork and bacon by now.

It will be a nice bedtime story we tell our grandchildren – “slowly I ooozed the maple syrup over that crispy fried piece and it crumbled into crispies in my mouth each exploding with that smoked salty goodness”  “What did it taste like gradpa, tell me again?

It gets worse. Aviation flu H5N1  has decimated China’s chicken production. Rumor has it they are in talks to purchase Purdue for 10 billion dollars.

According to the South China Morning Post, China’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs reported an animal outbreak of the often fatal H5N1 bird flu in thousands of chickens in the Hunan province, which borders the Hubei province to the south.

“The farm has 7,850 chickens, and 4,500 of the chickens have died from the contagion. Local authorities have culled 17,828 poultry after the outbreak,” a statement by China’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs said on February 1.
